Each year, WRAL, FOX50, MIX 101.5, and NC Beautiful proudly sponsor the renowned WRAL Azalea Celebration. We invite you to be a part of this incredible program that distributes over 5,000 azaleas to more than 100 non-profits across the state of North Carolina.

Since 1985, when CBC President and CEO Jim Goodmon initiated this annual event, our mission has been to enhance community appearance and introduce new and unique varieties of azaleas. Through the WRAL Azalea Celebration, we aim to establish a continuous, well-maintained project for communities to enjoy and emulate. And now, we want YOU to be a part of this legacy.

By participating in the WRAL Azalea Celebration, your non-profit organization will not only receive these beautiful azaleas but also become eligible for the prestigious A.J. Fletcher Award. Named after the visionary founder of Capitol Broadcasting Company and creator of the iconic WRAL Gardens, the A.J. Fletcher Awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated exceptional maintenance and care for the landscaping projects created with their WRAL azaleas.
